As a symbol of the eternal unity of all things, the cycle of birth and death from which the alchemist sought release and liberation, it was familiar to the alchemist and physician Sir Thomas Browne. In his A Letter to a Friend, a medical treatise full of case-histories and witty speculations upon the human condition, he wrote of it: ... that the first day should make the last, that the Tail of the Snake should return into its Mouth precisely at that time, and they should wind up upon the day of their Nativity, is indeed a remarkable Coincidence
This occult patch is screen printed by hand on cotton canvas.
The item measures approximately 6x8 inches depending on how the fabric is cut and the printed area is 4x5.5 inches. We do not make custom sizes, the measurements shown are the only ones available.
About this item:
All our patches are sew-on patches unless indicated otherwise.
If you wash it, we suggest to use cold water and hang to dry but drying machines will not affect the print! The item will be folded for mailing purposes, so just run an iron over the back when it arrives to flatten it before adding it to your favorite jacket!
